We were lucky enough to get to spend not one but two days with the lovely Wendy & Rishi for their wedding, celebrating not only the couple but also their two cultures. On the first day of their wedding we started bright and early so that we could capture Wendy & Rishi getting ready before Rishi headed to Wendy’s house for games and their tea ceremony. I really love the tradition of the guys having to do all these nutty things in order to get into the bride’s house. We all laughed like crazy that morning. We wish we could show you some of the pictures from that morning, however we’d hate to embarrass anyone by publishing the photos on the internet. You’ll just have to use your imaginations! After the tea ceremony at Wendy’s house we headed to the Vancouver Rowing Club in Stanley Park for their wedding ceremony out on the gorgeous deck. Afterwards we went to Japadog for a yummy lunch (it was our first time having Japadog!) before heading to Gastown for portraits. We really had a ball with Wendy & Rishi and their wonderful families and friends. Their first reception was a wonderful evening at the Newlands Golf Course. We were happy to get our first chance to work with RF Productions who filmed that special first day. They did an amazing same day edit which you can see here on their blog. On the second day of their wedding Wendy & Rishi had another reception at the Punjab Banquet Hall complete with baghra dancers, fantastic music and lots of Grey Goose Vodka. If we didn’t have to work the next day we would have stayed and danced the night away with everyone.
Thank you, Wendy & Rishi, for sharing two incredible days with us. Congratulations!

Rishi’s groomsmen gave him a gift from Wendy before we left the house. Inside was this hilarious watch.
Then Rishi’s groomsmen gave him his real gift from Wendy, this gorgeous watch.
Wendy’s bridesmaids all ready to torture Rishi and his groomsmen (in a good way!).
Finally the girls let Rishi and his groomsmen in the house for the tea ceremony.
Wendy has such a beautiful smile.
I loved how Wendy & Rishi brought aprons for everyone and even hilarious bibs for themselves, so they could enjoy the yummy Japadogs without worrying about messing up their fancy outfits.
Wendy & Rishi love street art and asked to do portraits in this incredible alleyway. We were so happy to shoot in such an inspiring space!
This photo of Rishi’s cousins makes me giggle.
Wendy’s niece is such a little cutie.
I just had to get a shot of Wendy’s gorgeous shoes.
