Last night as I was soaking in the bath listening to the Stars after we got home from Leah and James’ wedding, I was thinking about how lucky Roger and I are to do the work that we do. We meet so many amazing people through our work. After looking at my sister, April, and her new hubbie, Dennis’ wedding photos I feel like I now understand what a gift we give our clients. To look through the pictures of a wedding that means so much to me personally, makes me laugh and then cry and then be so glad to have these photos to help remember and relive such a special day. All of this wrapped up in a job that Roger and I are so passionate about doing, well, it can’t get much better than this.
Since we are so close to this wedding, we have had a bit of a hard time editing through the pictures and narrowing down our favourites. It was a fabulous day. The ceremony was at the local church in Castello de Godego in northern Italy, the town where Dennis’ parents are from. The reception was at a gorgeous villa where we ate and ate and ate such amazing food in a beautiful setting. I’m still drooling every time I think about the food. All in all, it was a truly amazing day.
Congratulations, April and Dennis! We love you both very much!

Me getting my hair done, Italian style.
April and my Dad arriving at the church in the gorgeous old Jaguar.
When we got to the church there were lots of people waiting outside. When April got out of the car they all clapped and cheered and April did a little curtsy. A fun moment.
I love how in the photo on the left, April, myself and my aunt all have the same tilt to our heads.
So fun that they actually threw rice when April and Dennis came out of the church.
The beautiful Villa Capera where the reception was held. Oh the food…
Dennis’ jacket with his Grandfather’s hankie.
No wedding is complete without a gelato cart. Mmmmm.
This shot is in front of the church where Dennis’ grandparents were married.
The car they hired was so gorgeous.
Me and my sis. It was such an honour to be her maid of honour.
My sis and I and our hubbies.
The beautiful tent at the back of the villa where we ate dinner.
After dinner the manager took April and Dennis to the balcony for a surprise. The staff passed sparklers to the guests which they waved at April and Dennis while they played some Italian song.
The fireworks were very romantic. Dennis grabbed April and danced with her while the fireworks shot off.
And we danced, and danced…
and danced, and danced!

Wow….what a wonderful adventure!! I just feel as though I celebrated with all of you as I looked through these pictures, grinning at all the fun you must have had.
The fireworks, the sparklers, the gelato – ohmy….such romance and delights.
